Celebrating Freedom and Heritage: Azadi Ki Yatra Program



In connection with Gandhi Jayanti, the Don Bosco Children ' s Forum organized the Azadi Ki Yatra program, a vibrant celebration of India ' s freedom struggle, on October 1st. The event was held at Ilambassher, with around 90 children from 8 groups participating in various competitions, including quiz, speech, and drawing contests. The program was inaugurated by FCDP-TMS Director, Father Saji, who emphasized the importance of understanding and appreciating the sacrifices made by India ' s freedom fighters. The event aimed to instill a sense of patriotism and awareness about the country ' s history among the young participants. The competitions were designed to test the children ' s knowledge of India ' s freedom struggle, with questions and topics ranging from the lives of prominent freedom fighters to the country ' s journey towards independence. The drawing competition was particularly impressive, with children showcasing their artistic skills and creativity in depicting scenes from India ' s freedom struggle. The program was filled with excitement and enthusiasm, with the children actively participating in the various activities and games. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners, with the participants taking back valuable lessons in patriotism, teamwork, and the importance of preserving India ' s rich cultural heritage
