The National Cooking Day Observed

Don Bosco Children's Forum (DBCF) celebrated the National Cooking Day at FCDP Hall on September 28, 2023. The public function was chaired by Mrs.Agnes John (Chairperson, FCDP). Dr. Paul Kannittayil (pediatrician, Bishop Benzigar Hospital) conducted an informative session on healthy eating habits. Rev. Fr. Joby Sebastian (Director, FCDP-TMS), Mrs. Elma Ivan (Retd. H.M. Infant Jesus School Thope), and Rev. Fr. Jithin M.S. (Asst. Director, FCDP) spoke on the occasion. DBC Legends led the gathering in prayer song, Ann Mariya (DBC Bangton) welcomed and Bijina Biju (Golden Eagles) proposed the vote of thanks. The public function was followed by the highlight of the day, namely, the sandwich-making competition, between the various groups of the Don Bosco Children's Forum. Over 50 members participated in the event. The winner of the competition was the Golden Eagles, and the 2nd runner-up was the DBC Legends. It was a tough competition with fun and activities that the children enjoyed. The observance of national cooking aimed at encouraging eating home-made food, cooking by both genders, and developing the joy of cooking from a young age.
